Are you an experienced IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment? Laser Clinics Australia is seeking a hands-on IT Operations Manager to lead our technology operations across 140+ Australian clinics and our Sydney Global Support Office.
About the Role
As our IT Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for the full spectrum of IT operational delivery across our clinics, support office, and warehouse and logistics environments. You’ll ensure our Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, network, devices, and SaaS ecosystem operate seamlessly to support day-to-day business continuity and service excellence.
This is a highly visible and impactful role — perfect for a leader who can balance strategy with technical execution, mentor small technical teams, and drive operational excellence.
You will:
Lead and own the end-to-end delivery of IT operations across retail stores, office, and warehouse environments.
Manage day-to-day IT support queues and ensure SLAs are consistently met.
Mentor Level 1–3 support resources and manage external vendors to maintain service quality.
Oversee the management and optimisation of retail POS systems, ensuring uptime and performance.
Manage network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPNs, Wi-Fi) and store connectivity standards.
Coordinate installation, configuration, and maintenance of all hardware across locations.
Implement monitoring, backup, and recovery processes for critical systems.
Maintain vendor relationships and manage escalations through to resolution.
Collaborate closely with Retail Operations, Finance, Marketing, and People teams.
Drive IT governance, access management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Represent Australian operational needs in group-level IT forums.
About You
You’re a hands-on leader who loves solving complex problems and improving systems that make a difference every day. You’re calm under pressure, collaborative, and have a genuine passion for operational excellence.
You bring:
A strong background in Retail IT or infrastructure management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven hands-on expertise with retail POS systems and payment integration.
Experience managing small IT teams and outsourced helpdesk providers.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Office 365, SharePoint, CMS, and remote admin tools.
Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and network monitoring.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
A proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset.
Highly desirable:
Experience in multi-site retail or hospitality organisations.
Familiarity with Zenoti.com or similar POS platforms.
Knowledge of Azure AD, PowerShell scripting, or cloud administration.
Experience implementing ITIL-aligned processes.
